Effective 2:00 P.M., TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 2025, The County of Two Hills has declared a FIRE RESTRICTION
Under the Fire Restriction, no permits will be issued until a significant amount of precipitation is received.
What is allowed
Recreational fires (campfires, backyard fire pits and outdoor fireplaces), burning in a burn barrel or incinerator, charcoal briquette BBQ's are permitted.
Propane or natural gas appliances (i.e., barbeques, stoves, heaters and portable firepits), for the purpose of heating or cooking are allowed, but must be CSA approved or UL certified. All Terrain Vehicles are permitted on private land.
What is not allowed
Fireworks and exploding targets are prohibited, brush piles, or other out door burning requiring a fire permit.
Burning or lighting a fire during a Fire Restriction contrary to what is allowed is illegal, and fines or cost of response could apply. A person who willfully sets an open fire, or any fire not allowed under this order, may be charged under the Forest and Prairie Protection Act.
