**NOTICE**

Effective 8:00 A.M., MONDAY, JULY 22, 2024, The County of Two Hills has upgraded to a FIRE BAN

Under the FIRE BAN, no permits will be issued until a significant amount of precipitation is received.

 

What is not allowed

  • Fireworks and exploding targets are prohibited, brush piles, or other outdoor burning requiring a fire permit.
  • All outdoor wood fires, including wood campfires on public land, private land, designated campgrounds, and backyard firepits.
  • Barbeque charcoal briquettes.
  • Fireworks and exploding target.

Allowed

Portable propane/natural gas -powered appliances
Open flame devices (such as deep fryers and tiki torches). All devices must be CSA approved and used per manufacturer’s standards.

Burning or lighting a fire during a Fire Ban is illegal, and fines or cost of response could apply. A person who willfully sets an open fire, or any fire not allowed under this order, may result in fines. If the person is the owner or occupant of the land on which the fire is set, those costs may be recovered by placing the costs on the tax roll and recovering them in the same manner as taxes.
